OVERVIEW: The Slidex 2 Slide Guide 280 is in the family of slide guides that also act as supports provided by Flexicraft, and is best suited for 5" to 8" diameters. The maximum load is 12,000lbs, derated for temperatures up to 400F. (The Slidex 1 is for up to 4", and the Slidex 3 is for 10" to 24" diameters.)
The slide guides use a fixed base and heat cured PTFE slide bearing pad with a sliding section that is welded to the pipe, unless a clamp to pipe option is needed. They are also available with a pre-insulation. (Contact factory for clamps, pre-insulation, or for stainless steel.)
They are ideal for use with expansion joints such as those provided by Flexicraft. They are available with a weld down base or a bolt down base, and for 4" or 10" of movement. The slide guides are to be used in an upright position, supported from the bottom. See the submittal sheets for more details.
